There is no doubt in their minds that God’s plan and perfect timing brought Nick and Kristin together. They look back and realize how God strategically placed them in the same proximity, but it was not yet His time for them to meet. Nick and Kristin lived across the street from each other for two years, going to the same places, using the same dating apps, and yet their paths never crossed. It took Nick moving 30 minutes north to Flower Mound and several Bumble swipes later for God to be ready for them to match and meet.

Nick and Kristin met on January 19, 2023, at Chelsea Corner in Uptown Dallas, where God provided their “new friend” Delores (a random old lady at the bar) who kindly broke the ice, making that evening unforgettable. By the end of the night, even Delores sensed the connection between them and joked about expecting an invite to their wedding.

Nick and Kristin went on three more dates within the same week of meeting. By date number four, Nick invited Kristin to meet his brother Adam, sister-in-law Lauren, and their three kids who were visiting from Ohio. Despite the unconventional timing, Kristin embraced the opportunity to meet them at Hero in downtown Dallas before they went to the Stars game. Date number five was football at Underdogs with Nick’s family to end their weekend trip. Looking back, God’s timing was perfect in allowing Kristin to meet part of Nick’s family early in the relationship.

A few months later, Kristin invited Nick to meet her family at her nephew’s baptism and birthday party. Nick jumped in and met the whole crew at once. The weekend was a memorable experience full of warmth and joy, deepening their connection.

In June 2023, Nick and Kristin took a significant step by going on a family vacation to Florida, where Kristin met Nick’s parents and some of his extended family. The trip was special, filled with baseball games, beach days, a fishing trip, and more cherished memories. It was during this vacation that they both realized they were truly in love.

Throughout their relationship, Nick and Kristin have enjoyed several fun trips together and with each other’s families. Family is very important to them, and they have cherished getting to know both families and extended families. They love to spend their free time together on the boat out on the lake, the pool, BBQing, going to sporting events and concerts, spending time outside, attending church, and genuinely having so much fun just being together with each other.

On June 8, 2024, Nick proposed to his favorite person and the love of his life, Kristin, at Southlake Town Square, in her hometown, in front of a special fountain. Kristin said YES, and both of their parents were there to witness this huge commitment and step towards continuing their lives together forever. Kristin’s brother Ryan, his wife Kelly, and their two kids, Emma and Blake, arrived at the fountain following the proposal to surprise Kristin. Nick planned an amazing surprise dinner at Brio with their families to celebrate their engagement.

Nick and Kristin can’t wait to get married under God in Kristin’s hometown church with all their closest family and friends.
